In addition to the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, you will also get two USB ports, roll-up windows, and new hubcaps. The 2LT will cost you a little more but will include synthetic upholstery and keyless ignition.

The 1.4-liter inline–4 outputs 98 horsepower and is in all versions of the Spark. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual and the CVT (continuously variable transmission) is optional. This car is better suited for driving in town, thanks to its small size and turning circle.

Packing in Even More

There have been many different updates, changes, and new features added to the Spark. If you start with the exterior you will see they the front-end has been restyled to incorporate a new fascia, grille, and headlamps on the LS, 1LT and 2LT trims. There are additional projection-type headlamps, LED daytime running lamps (on 1LT and 2LT trims), a wheel design that has been revised on the LS, 1LT, and 2LT and there have been four new exterior colors added that replaced the existing ones.

The inside of the Spark has good room for passengers as well as cargo considering its length of just 143 inches. The USB port and auxiliary input jack that were located in the front center storage bin have been replaced by dual USB ports that are illuminated and now located in the front center stack storage bin. The interior color is now True White.

As for the technology, the seven-inch color touchscreen Chevrolet MyLink Radio has been replaced with the seven-inch touchscreen Chevrolet Infotainment system. There has been a low-speed forward automatic braking system added as part of the Driver Confidence Package.

The Spark Activ model does not have the same appearance changes as the LS, 1LT and 2LT trims.

The platform has seen some changes as well. Like all of the second-generation Sparks, the new 2019 Chevrolet Spark is built on the Gamma 2 platform that is also found in the Chevrolet Trax, the Chevrolet Sonic, and the Buick Encore.

The changes to the styling show that the Spark gets its front-end from the Chevrolet line for sure. The low-speed forward automatic braking helps drivers to avoid front-end collisions by either applying the brakes or enhancing the braking of the driver. There is chrome used on the grille and projector-style headlamps are available. The LED daytime running lights have been moved down and the dual-element tail lamps accentuate the signature of the brand.

All of the trims include rear-vision camera, 10 airbags, and a seven-inch MyLink system.

The Spark is connected with a standard infotainment system that features compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For a limited time, you will even be able to get OnStar and connectivity access as well as the MyChevrolet mobile app at no additional cost to you.
