Why Choose the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale in Purcell, Oklahoma?

As more and more people decide to purchase SUVs instead of sedans, the 2019 Equinox has a ton to offer in its line-up. There are two gas engines from which to choose and a highly efficient turbo diesel engine. There is also the choice between all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive and four different trim levels from which to choose. All of this is offered to consumers at a good price.

Last year the Equinox was redesigned and because the change was so recent, all the latest safety features are available. There are surround-view parking cameras all the way to a forward collision warning system that identifies pedestrians. You will also be able to get a panoramic sunroof or a surround-view parking camera and even ventilated front seats – things that are considered rare for this class of vehicle.

The 2019 Equinox comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine but you can choose to get two other alternative powertrains if you want. There is a diesel option available that gives you 32 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving or a turbocharged 2.0-liter that will give you an additional 80 horsepower.

At the front of the Equinox, there is a grille that has two different tiers and three different types of headlights are on offer. On the L and LS trims, there are halogens, the LT trim comes with HIDs, and the Premier trim has LEDs. These lights soften the boxy appearance of the Equinox.

There are three engines available on the 2019 Equinox. You can get the standard turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that gives you 170 horsepower and 203 pounds per foot of torque that is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The next most powerful engine you can choose is the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that will give you 252 horsepower and 260 pounds per foot of torque that paired with a nice-speed automatic transmission. The final engine option is the fuel-efficient 1.6-liter diesel that gives you 137 horsepower and 240 pounds per foot of torque that is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. These last two engines are options for the LT and the Premier.

The L trim is only available in front-wheel drive and is well equipped for its price. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, headlights that are automatic, running lights for the daytime that are LEDs, a start/stop system, a rearview camera, mirrors that are heated, keyless entry/ignition, a driver’s info display, front seats that you can adjust based on the passenger’s height, a steering wheel with tilt/telescope function, an option for Teen Driver watching mode, Bluetooth, OnStar that comes with 4G LTE connectivity, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a touchscreen (seven inches), a six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB ports in the front of the vehicle, and two in the rear.

The LS trim is one that you will see a lot of out there. It costs a little bit more than the base and gives you floor mats, an extra tire, and a jack. You will also be able to pick from a larger range of exterior colors and you can choose to get all-wheel drive with this trim. This is a good model to choose if you want to get the least expensive AWD option. If you add the LS Convenience package then you will also get a powered driver seat and privacy glass.

If you choose to go even higher still in the trim levels, you may look at getting the LT trim. This trim gives you xenon headlights, it upgrades the information display, you will get some auxiliary release levers for your rear seats, and you will get satellite radio and everything that comes in the LS Convenience package. You will get to choose between the optional engines listed above and you will have a sunroof and rails on the roof. If you stick with the 2.0-liter engine then you will get 18-inch wheels added.

There are three packages that are offered with the LT trim. The Lights and Brights package includes 19-inch wheels, chrome on the outside trim and LED headlights/taillights. The Infotainment package gives you a 120-volt power outlet like you have at home, an eight-inch touchscreen, navigation, and two USB ports that are conveniently located in the armrest bin in the center of the vehicle. The Sun and Navigation package is the third package offered and it contains all the contents in the Infotainment package as well as a sunroof.

If you want to add even more safety to your vehicle, you can opt for the Confidence and Convenience package that will give you rear parking sensors, a power liftgate on everything but the diesel, remote start, and a steering wheel and shift knob wrapped in leather. You will get dual-zone climate control, front seats that are heated as well as rear cross-traffic alerts and monitoring for your blind spots.

The top of the line is the Premier trim that has all of the packages that were talked about above except for the nav system and the sunroof. You will also get 18-inch wheels, LED headlights/taillights, fog lights, mirrors that dim automatically, roof rails, a liftgate that’s hands free, chrome trim on the exterior, ambient interior lighting, memory settings for your driver’s seat, leather upholstery with perforations as well as device charging that is wireless. 19-inch wheels are added if you choose to get the 2.0-liter engine.

With so many configurations on offer, you’re sure to find the new 2019 Chevrolet Equinox of your dreams for sale in Oklahoma at Zeck Chevrolet.
