The LS is no mere base trim. The LS comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gives you 197 horsepower and 191 pounds per foot of torque with the option of getting the 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that will give you 305 horsepower with 264 pounds per foot of torque. This particular engine comes with a six-speed and is only available in front-wheel drive.

With the LS, you also get 18-inch steel wheels, sound-insulating laminated windows, automatic headlights, cruise control, power-adjustable mirrors, air conditioning, eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and 60/40 split folding rear seats. Along with the new technology mentioned above, there is an 8-inch screen for the infotainment system, a six-speaker audio system, OnStar which includes 4G LTE and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity), and two USB ports.

If you move up to the LT trim you will also get the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine standard that gives you 197 horsepower and 191 pounds of torque as well as the option of getting the 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine which will give you 305 horsepower with 264 pounds per foot of torque. You will also get remote engine start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone climate control, heated mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, fore-aft adjustable front headrests, power front-passenger lumbar adjustment, folding rear headrests and a few other minor upgrades.

There are also some great upgrade packages available to you if you choose the LT trim. The Driver Confidence package gives you rear cross-traffic alerts, blind spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. If you go for the Sunroof and Spoiler package, those items will be added to your vehicle. The LT Entertainment Package gives you some nice upgrades to your entertainment such as a CD player, an 11-speaker Bose stereo system, and ambient interior lights as well as a 120-volt outlet. The LT Convenience package includes a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated front seats. If you choose, you can also upgrade the Convenience package by adding the Leather package that gives you leather upholstery and a fully power-adjustable seat for the front passenger.

2018 Chevy Impala Premier

The highest trim available for the 2018 Chevy Impala is the Premier trim. This trim gives you the 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine standard with 305 horsepower and 264 pounds per foot of torque. With the Premier, you also get leather upholstery, xenon headlights, 19-inch wheels, and heated power seats. You will have a wireless charging pad and unique exterior accents. With this trim level, you will also have all the features of the LT’s Entertainment, Driver Confidence, and Sunroof and Spoiler packages. The Premier Confidence package adds lane departure warning, forward collision warning, 20-inch wheels, and adaptive cruise control. The Premier Convenience package gives you a heated and power adjustable steering wheel, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming mirrors, memory settings for the steering wheel and mirrors, and ground illumination.

In addition to all of the packages mentioned above, you can also choose to get another package that is available for the LT and the Premier trim levels. This is called the Midnight Edition Appearance package and adds 19-inch black-painted wheels, gives you black-painted trim where the chrome usually is and black interior trim pieces. Not surprisingly, the only color you can get this edition in is black.
